Basically, ultraviolet radiation from the sun causes a breakdown in the outermost layer of the protective "skin" on your lens. This breakdown manifests itself in 2 ways: 1) Discoloration - the yellowing, milky-white, or just dull appearance, and 2) Delamination - the disintegration of the outermost hardcoat layer which gives the appearance of a rough, filmy-like texture on the surface. Our process involves stripping enough of the affected layer to provide clarity, and then resurfacing the lens for lasting protection.
